Middle Cottage is a beautiful mid terrace holiday cottage in the picturesque Staffordshire Moorlands location of Endon village.
Endon Well Dressing
The village of Endon is close to the Peak District and the market town of Leek. Endon is famous for its well, which is celebrated at the end of May each year. The well is “dressed” annually, and the three-day Well Dressing Festival is held in the fields close by.
There are plenty of waymarked walks surrounding Endon and dozens more just a short drive away.
The cottage is an ideal base to explore the Peak District and the heritage and award-winning museums of Stoke on Trent and the Potteries including, Gladstone Pottery Museum, World of Wedgwood, Moorcroft, Emma Bridgewater and Middleport Pottery, home of the BBCs ‘Great Pottery Throw Down’.
From the M6, junction 15 or 16, join the A500, (signposted Stoke on Trent). Leave the A500 to take the A53, (signposted to Leek). It is then six miles to Endon. When entering Endon, go past the Plough Public House and when you get to the Black Horse Public House, turn left and follow The Village to the t-junction and we are just to the left in front of you.
Public transport is available in the nearest train station being Stoke-on-Trent and the number 18 bus service runs between Stoke-On-Trent (Hanley Bus Station) and Leek.
